Asia

IDE's Asia studies examine key topics and issues concerning East Asia (South and North Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Russian Far East, etc.), Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, etc.) and South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc.). IDE research on Asia uses a multidisciplinary approach, spanning economics, political science, management and sociology. And each year since 1970, the Institute has published its "Yearbook of Asian Affairs", containing analysis of current affairs in countries and regions across Asia.
