Requesting Materials from the Business Library

Applicable materials

Materials of the Business Library that can be sent to the Institute of Developing Economies Library for browsing:
  • General books (excluding books accepted within six months)
  • Journals and bound journals (excluding the latest issues)
  • Statistical materials (excluding latest issues)
    (Excluding directories, customs schedules and electronic data)
* In certain circumstances requests may be denied.
* Please use the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) at each library to check the availability of specific materials.

Rules for Requests

  • Up to 3 items can be requested at one time.
  • The requested materials are available for one day in principle. Please ask the library for details.

Application Procedures

  1. At the library:
    As it will take one or two days for delivery of the materials from the Business Library, please visit IDE Library upon their arrival.
  2. By e-mail or FAX:
    We will arrange for the materials to be available on your desired date of visit.
    * Please submit the request after deciding when you would like to visit.
STEP 1
Please check if the particular resource is available with the Business Library OPAC.
* Please check for the call number (e.g. B-113/XI-UD/-/AK). In the case of journals or yearly periodicals, check for the volume number and year. If you are unable to find the bibliographic data of materials you wish to browse with the OPAC, check directly with the library.

Download or print the application form and fill in all required items.
