LECTURES
1. International Trade・Investment・Finance
This course provides an introduction to the theories and current practices of international trade and international finance. In addition, it reviews the current situation of regional integration and pays particular attention to issues involving the WTO and FTAs. Lecturers will discuss industrial development in East Asian countries with reference to the “Economic Integration” and the “Value Chain concept.”

2. Industrial Development in East Asia
This course analyzes the important factors (technology, infrastructure, SMEs, and so on) in the economic development of East Asia based on a demonstrative examples, and considers guidelines concerning the development policy of the LLDCs.

3. Development Experience of Japan
This course identifies the major characteristics of Japan’s development process, and discusses current topics in the Japanese economy. It then examines a number of strategic areas; economy, agriculture, industrial policy (including issues such as SMEs, R&D and industrial clusters), social development and environmental issues.

4. Contemporary Issues of Development
