China-Korea-Japan Seminar on Africa "East Asia and Africa in the 21st Century"

Registration has closed as the maximum capacity (100) was reached.

The African continent has been attracting increasing interest in recent years from businesses and governments around the world, including those from East Asia. IDE-JETRO was among the first to recognize this trend, holding an open seminar in 2007 entitled "Perspective on Growing Africa: From China and Japan," which was well received by its audience composed mainly of Japanese businesspeople. IDE-JETRO will now follow up with a seminar featuring leading scholars in African studies from Japan, China and South Korea. We hope that this seminar, and the exchange of information and views it engenders, will contribute to establishing an academic network in East Asia in this field and building a sound relationship between Africa and East Asia as a whole.
